Happening u příležitosti návštěvy izraelského ministra zahraničí
ENGLISH BELOW — Iniciativy zabývající se věcí Palestiny pořádají dnes od 14 hodin před Černínským palácem v Praze happening s názvem „Nelíbejme Liebermana, nepoklonkujme okupaci!“ aneb Svíčky za 521 palestinských a 1 izraelské dítě.
Izraelský ministr zahraničí Avigror Lieberman přijíždí ve čtvrtek 18. prosince na oficiální návštěvu ČR, kde bude jednat s ministrem zahraničí Zaorálkem mimo jiné o možnostech „prohlubování vzájemné spolupráce mezi ministerstvy zahraničních věcí obou zemí.“ Chystanou akcí vyjádří občané svůj nesouhlas s přetrvávající nekritickou českou zahraniční politikou vůči Izraeli a s aktuální návštěvou izraelského politika, nechvalně proslulého svou extrémně pravicovou a rasistickou politikou vůči Palestincům i samotným palestinským občanům Izraele.
Zapálením 522 svíček budou připomenuty dětské oběti nedávného izraelského masakru v Gaze. Od 8:00 do 15:30 bude na stejném místě petiční stánek, kde zájemci budou moci podepsat otevřený dopis ministru Zaorálkovi a seznámit se s výzvou izraelských občanů u příležitosti Liebermanovy návštěvy Prahy.
Iniciativy touto akcí upozorní také na pikantní skutečnost, že představitel státu trvale porušujícího lidská práva je přijímán ve stejný den, kdy se na ministerstvu paralelně koná konference na téma „Zahraniční politika lidských práv pro 21. století“.

Happening on the occasion of visit of Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs
Czech initiatives active in the issue of Palestine are organizing today at 2PM in front of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Černín Palace) a happening called „NO to Lieberman’s visit, NO to complicity with occupation! Candles for 521 Palestinian children and 1 Israeli child”.
Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs is coming to Prague today for an official visit of the country. He will hold a meeting with his Czech counterpart, Mr Lubomír Zaorálek, with whom he will discuss among other things also the possibilities of „deepening of mutual cooperation between the ministries of foreign affairs of both countries“. By this happening Czech citizens want to show their disapproval with the continuing uncritical Czech foreign policy towards Israel and with the current visit of this Israeli politician who has become infamous for his extreme right-wing and racist policy towards Palestinians as well as Palestinian citizens of Israel.
By lighting 522 candles we will pay a tribute to the child victims of the recent massacre in Gaza. There will be a petition stand from 8AM till 3:30PM where people will be able to sign an open letter to the Czech Foreign Minister and learn about a statement by concerned Israeli citizens on the occasion of Lieberman’s visit to Prague.
The organizers of this event would equally like to draw attention to the fact that a representative of a state notoriously violating human rights is being welcomed at the very same moment when a conference is taking place on the premises of the ministry on the topic of Foreign Policy on Human Rights for the 21st Century.
